checking out the scene

so i have been thinkng on going into trucking for a long time now. and i am now at a time where if im going to make a change, now is it. i have talked to a few truckers. and i have gotten their honest feedback. i am in the process of trying to find an reputable school. but honestly, there is so much info and so many opinions out there, makes it hard to take it all in. i am looking for any advice i can get my hands on.
being a female going into this can be a plus or minus. i am a road tripper by heart and enjoy being on the road. and i dont mind being alone. no kids or home or roots to worry about. any wisdom anyone can give would be greatly appreciated
