Anyone ever deliver a load of Christmas trees to a supermarket? How much of a hassle am I looking at? Will my trailer look like a complete disaster after being unloaded?

Real Christmas trees at a supermarket

Where?
Really? -
Never delivered but I did have to help unload a trailer full of xmas trees once. Takes a little bit of time to unload and hopefully the grocery store guys are not useless. Your trailer with need to be washed out afterwards.

Double yellow,
It will all depend on how good the workers unload at the supermarket. The few I've worked at (Walmart, Publix's) were used to unloading trucks, so it took maybe an hour tops. Are they gonna be on pallets?? If so, chances are someone with a fork lift will be able to off load if there is one. If not, what they'll do is get a group of guys and start handing the trees from person to another. As Stew said, your trailer will need a washout.

When I ran van, I delivered them to walmart stores. It was fairly easy, just gave them an hour or so notice. My trailer was full of pine needles ..IDK I assume they are gonna ice yours down before you leave the farm, but, the loose needles were wet which made it harder to sweep. On the other hand, my trailer smelled good for a good month after I delivered those trees.

Unloading at each stop was about an hour each time IF you have different size trees each store is suppose to receive. Most tree farms set up your trailer for each stop and not have to struggle to find each size tree...

Yep, I pulled a 9 stop load of trees a few weeks ago. If it isn't on pallets it will take a while, but as everyone said, depends on the workers. Some places they were super fast and helpful, others I did most the work. Trailer definitely needed a washout, but it was in a reefer so the air channels are harder to sweep. Full of needles and soil.

It is dirty work, unloading trees. Plan on changing your clothes. I like the tree sap all over my hands too ! You may get lucky and the tree lot is being run by a vendor who will have his crew to unload and separate them by size etc.
