The letter I recieved from the attorneys said, that in their suit they are charging knight did not pay minium wage for orientations and deducted $200 illegally for orientation if the driver quit within a certain time period,, they unlawfully deducted 02 cents per mile for per diem,, faile to timely pay all wages at the endof employment.. You can contact Karen M if you have any questions or you are a member of this class action suit

most companies will charge you some kind of fee,( transportation costs, motel costs, etc) if you quit them with in the 90-180 new hire probation.

It couldn't happen to a nicer company
Straight Stacks and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
Didnt one of those blood sucking law firms in Oregon sue Gordon Trucking a while back?
-
I got this letter too, so what's the deal? It said to fill it out and send it back if you're not interested, I haven't done that. Mainly because if it's my off day and it requires effort, I ain't doin it. But, also a little bit of curiosity.....Might get a couple cents outta the deal.....At least one would hope.

I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV. And believe me when I say that I think it's time that someone stop these companies and all their blood sucking fees and hidden deductions..
But do be aware that in some class action lawsuits, the plaintiffs can be responsible for the defendants legal fees if the plaintiffs loose the case.
Not trying to scare anyone off, just a thought.rholl32 and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
The only one that would have merit is the not paying wages in a timely manner after separation. I believe it is 7 working days or something like that. And you don't need a lawyer to get that handled.
And they don't take .02 per mile for per diem. They pay you .02 cents less if you are on the per diem.
I have seen statements of drivers on per diem and no where does it have a .02 deduction for per diem.
The ACLU types out of Navato (San Fran area) not OR are just head hunting a weak case. -
So where does that .02 cents go?
And you are wrong, I was told that they DEDUCT .02 per mile for being on per-diem.
