Classification...

    Not sure how this guy would be classified... Advertised a load on a load board, stated it was for a 'direct shipper'... Has his name on the 'rate sheet' but we bill to the 'direct shipper'. So the $$ isn't going through him. We've had no problems with him or getting paid, but if he's not a broker, what would you call him?

    I'd call him a Broker ATTEMPTING to operate without a license. Probably trying some "3rd. Party" loop-hole crap.

    Shipper agent. If he only works for the one shipper it's legal. Multiple shippers are not legal. Same as a dispatch service. Work for one carrier only is fine, multiple carriers is not.
