I set my truck up to have only the top bunk. Made the bottom bunk into a work station setup. Bunk folds up against the back wall when I don't use it, then drop it down and climb on up. If a 5 year old can do it, any of us can. If you give yourself something to stand on it makes life easier.

+1. The top bunk is better than the KW studio couch. It does kind of suck getting up there though. They gave us one step but I need two. You could probably bend a step of some sort from metal and hang it off the top bunk and use that for your second step.

Munoz takes pretty good care of their trucks. Mine is still a baby though, 155,000 miles.

Carlos Munoz will have to pry me out of this one. I love this truck, battlescars and all. :D

My KW W900L has a step right above the refrigerator. I've never been up there but it doesn't look to tough.

I'm 6 feet tall and never had a problem getting up there.
I've had 2 daughters on the truck with me, one pretty short, and they also had no problems.

The Coleman cooler makes it easier as it provides that first step up.
If that were not available one would use the bottom bunk mattress, then up to the main step (which might be the edge of the little table or bottom shelf or...) and up to the top.

It could be difficult if you are really huge and out of shape. (I'm not talking about tall...)
But except in the first part of training you shouldn't have to worry about it very much.

The only time you are sleeping in the top bunk is when two people are sleeping at the same time.
That doesn't happen very often in a team, and usually only in the first week or two of training.
When one is driving while the other sleeps, the sleeper is in the bottom bunk.
