CM871 suddenly started using oil

Having the same oil problem. Cummings are having me use valvoline premium blue restore oil 10w30. Went from 2000 miles per gallon to 5000 miles per gallon. Trying to save the liners without tearing into it. Very expensive oil. Not sure it will work but I will keep you all posted.
