Im not very familiar with electrical issues..... but, I THINK I'm having battery issues. I replaced them under warranty in Jan this year and been everything been good. Now that its cold they seem to drain quick....its starts sluggish. Same issue before I had them replaced. After driving my truck and ending for the day, Cant I undo the negative side of the batteries and and in the morning hook back up and if it starts up then I don't have a battery issue... or if it struggles then I do??

Check all power and ground connections (starter, frame, posts). Have batteries load tested. If good, then check for starter drawing too much. Should not drop more than around 2 volts while cranking.
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
yeah I believe my starter is fine. Although I will do as you suggested as far as checking the ground connections. When I started it only drops 1 volt while starting, not everytime but 12.6 is the lowest I've seen. I had it towed a few weeks ago for blown turbo...I sat on side of road for about 4 hours waiting on tow truck. Had it towed about 60 miles to my mechanic and they had to tow it from the rear...so had the ignition on while towing it....batteries were dead when I arrived at shop. It was probably 50 degrees...

How much oil did you lose when the turbo "blew"? Sorry, but I have to bring this tough question into the mix. I own a shop for 20 years and have seen similar situations with very bad results.

Not much at all..... idk how to link it but I have a thread on here called “ what makes a turbo blow” with some pictures.
