Hello, Little Princess Here!
I had received a quaint call from an ex-bf's problem student. He wanted to brag first about his bed (which has always been Monty since I had first been introduced to him back in 2008), then his Godlike position at the company he worked for (again Monty). While this "Offer" for employment was interesting, (never turned down an offer for employment, IF the employment was on the board legit) the names of the companies, rather than the truck (a cramped Kenworth T600)worse than the Peterbilt 369 for front cab storage space) interested me more. Especially, since the advice I picked up from this board, suggested looking at a companies SAFERSTAT listing.
What concerns me about the 3 companies he mentioned, Sunset Curve, operating under Black Heart, operating under Cool Running, is that when I pulled up Cool Running, there were over 15 listing for a company with the name Cool Running in the name, none stated simply Cool Running. The second thing, is that if Black Heart and Sunset Curve were operating under Cool Running, it would state on the companies page, that those were sub companies of the parent company, or at least, leased on to that company. Instead, each one had it's own page, own authority, and were in 2 different states. Sunset Curve Transportation LLC out of WI (closest match based on industry), Black Heart out of TX, and as for Cool Running, there were 3 close matches based on industry, Cool Running Express in CA, VA, TX.
I skipped trying to figure out which Cool Running was the parent company, and looked at the 2 smaller ones. Black Heart and Sunset Curve.
My question is this...Sunset Curve claims 2 trucks, has a 23.14% truck rating on 6 inspections, 6.80% on 15 driver inspections, and a 5.29% on zero hazmat inspections...Is the Hazmat rating due to the company transporting actual HZMT without HZMT authority???? or is this the fuel rating for actually having fuel in the fuel tanks for both truck and trailer??? That company has zero crashes listed.
Black Heart, while under a different DOT Authority, has the same stats as sunset curve, operation classification-unknown, legal name PEDRO DELOS REYES AND ELIAX DELOS REYES, and has no power units or drivers listed as employees.... What would a broker company (if it is a broker company) be doing listed on SAFERSTAT????
If any one can answer these questions, I would greatly appreciate it alot. Monty can be a creep sometimes, (you would have to meet him and speak with him first, before he has 1 beer, to realize, his leechyness only gets worse...his humor can only make up for some of it) but if the companies are legit and good, I would like to know, unfortunately, Monty blew his hand offer for employment. I told him I am not looking to drive team with anyone. Wanted to go back SOLO, not ride with a team-mate, or trainer desperate to make money. Was suprised he claimed to be making 3800 miles per week tho, since not even the larger companies are running SOLOS at 3500, from my understanding, from almost every driver who has posted, both on this board, as well as several others, folks are lucky to get 2500 per week each week, on average each week. Then he asked me what I "thought" I "want/should make".....The call ended there....It degenerated into his accusing me of not "making it", "hiding something" ect. And he still could not/would not answer the question of what Sunset Curve was offering for driver pay.
How many of you read about the FL state hoax back in 2005-06, about Hollywood using Sunset Curve as it's stunt/hiring company???.....Without that contract, not even Hollywood, CA studios will hire anyone, let alone hire actors without an education on paper with a multimedia degree in acting, heck, one couldn't even get onto a studio lot as an extra, without it. Yet if you are on a legitimate delivery, and your tractor and trailer/truck/car, are caught on film (all business deliveries cannot be intereferred with) and that section of the film is used, and you haven't ended up on the cutting room floor due to time constraints, THEN, and ONLY THEN, irreguardless of WHO owns that vehicle, irreguardless of whether there was a paper signed contract, only then Will you get paid, what the studio pays....NOT WHAT YOU WANT....
(was not shouting, just stressing the words without constantly using capitolization for each word. Someone said it threw off the stress of the text for reading)
Thank you for any help in figuring out what those reports were saying....
