    Hello Everyone
I am currently in CDL school and I am starting to look for companies to apply to. I know schooling is just going to teach me well enough to get my license so I am wondering what companies have the best training programs for new drivers. I don't want to be stuck with a trainer who will be sleeping or playing on their phone the whole time . FWIW I am living in California and I have heard great things about Prime and May Trucking if you heard otherwise or recommend other companies that will be great! Thanks!

If your school is worth a #### there should be placement people as a part of it. If there is seek out their council on future carriers as a part of all of this. However @Chinatown will be along soon. We also need to know what part of California you are in.

Where is your location in California?
Is the cdl school 160 hours?
    Do you have endorsements?

Total Transportation Mississippi did really good with training me. You spend about six weeks with a trainer before you go solo, so you have plenty of time to learn everything you need to and come across most situations within reason.

( you will probably have to be a team driver though after training though since their solos don't get to California)

Im in the San Bernardino Area which is near L.A. The class is 160 hours but i am taking my classes at my work and not at the schools campus because the school is based in another state and i do not hold any endorsements yet just a permit. The school also has job assistance.

OK, schools do have job placement assistance and it's usually limited. We can give you more names of companies to consider and many the school may not have heard of.
Any type trucking in particular you're interested in?
Dynamic Transit - is one that hires new cdl grads. They run coast to coast, but don't do northeast.
