Tri State is based out of Toledo Ohio but it services all 48 states and I think you can be based out of anywhere because my home is Lexington KY. Its certainly OTR and as a trucker you probably know all about that but the normal home time for tri state in a cargo/sprinter van is you have to be out at least 10-14 days at a time before going out of service. That part of it I like and when Im close to home normally with in 2 hours I drive home for the night on my $. Which my owners cool as long as I leave the next to a better lane on my own $ too lol.

Theres no forced dispatch so if your having a really busy week you can take a 10 hour in service "Break". Some weeks are really slow but thats expediting in general not so much tri states fault. All in all i like the owner I drive and the company hes leased with I just want a little more comfort at night and possibly less waiting around. One issue with expediting is those pesky penske that overload and underbid just about everyone at times but thatll probably be stopping soon. But the sprinter van as a platform although expensive to buy and if it breaks the repairs are is a GREAT vehicle! It IMO outperforms everything in its class when loaded close to its limit even on curvy roads that are windy. Sorry about the sprinter commerical

They make 12volt heaters, but i dont know how well they work, nor how much current they draw. it could be a problem with running down your batterys, anyone know ?

Don't buy one of those heaters, tell the owner to get you an espar heater.

Personally I think it was really terrible of the owner to make you freeze at night unless you paid for fuel. That wasn't right.
