Can't remember the last time I ran through a state without construction or "faux construction" (the single lane freeway that exists for months on end with no activity in sight).

I can think of states that SHOULD have construction.

My favorite laugh is the I-40 in Arizona. Their definition of "fixing" the road is to put up a sign that says, "ROUGH ROAD NEXT 63 MILES". :D :D :D :D

They are working on I30 at mm23???-30 in Arkansas. Along with the rest of the states main thruways. Hwy64 in Wynne, i40 in foresst city and russelville, i55 in oceola, i40 and i55 in west memphis all the way from the split to the bridges. Its horrible trying to get thru Arkansas right now. Timing is everything. Even the workarounds get backed up. I went 45 miles out of the way the other day and saved an hour or more. That still blows my mind.

How in the **** do they think havimg the whole state under construction is smart or safe?

I like to see construction zones.

It means those crappy roads will be better soon.

I can honestly say that Arkansas needed construction. ...but 44 through Oklahoma really wasn't that bad

I-44 about an hour or so west of OKC had some real issues driving at night about a month ago. I sent an e-mail to their DOT and got a reply they were upgrading the way the zone is marked. Several spots it was difficult to tell which direction you were supposed to drive, take the crossover or not, or whether there were two lanes opening or not. Nearly had a truck try to make a pass in a crossover that wasn't there, he barely was able to put on the brakes and get back behind me before launching into a six foot drop into the median.

You should know the 4 seasons of most northern states by now.

Almost winter, winter, still winter, and road contraction.

    Mr Ed Thanks this.
