It isn't normal unless you are overfilling. If you overfill in tank it will push it out the overflow tube. I don't know how to tell you the full mark I usually just eye it maybe an 2 inches below neck. If you are not overfilling it you have a problem.

No it is not normal.
EGR cooler, head gasket, cracked head, cracked block, worn/shifted liner, water cooled turbo, doser injector failure, etc. Are you pressurizing the cooling system at all?
Not enough information...engine make, blah, blah, blah...with a little more info we can maybe point you in the direction to start looking... -
Thanks. My truck runs absolutely fine. The oil looks fine as does my coolant. I have not found any puddles under the truck and can't find evidence of any leaks also my water temperature is within normal range
-
No that's normal for any vehicle.
Stormbk09 Thanks this. -
It's normal to use coolant? The truck burns it up ?
-
No it's not normal, what engine do you have?
Does your truck have a DPF or not?
The majority of these will not leave puddles, and your truck may well be running fine, but the problem may not have shown itself yet but may be slowly building into something bad -
No. It isn't normal to lose coolant. You won't always see the leak. It could be burning it thru exhaust. I have a 1985 truck and never add coolant. You could have overfilled and when it built pressure it let it out the overflow thus not leaving a trace as you were driving. I would bet the farm somewhere you have a leak.

I'm not real good with pre DPF Cats, but with no puddle traces, I'd lean towards injector tubes, head gasket, cracked head, liner issues...
I'd advise an oil sample to check for the presence of coolant in the oil. If yes, I'd lean toward liner issue. If no, lean towards head or head gasket...a good shop should be able to point you in the right direction with a quality sample analasys.
