I used a small Kooltron for a year before it broke. It was ok. $99 at Pilot. I of course used points. I now have a Coleman. It's much better.

10/4. I had the Coleman as well, can't tell you about any other coolers.

The kooltron, had the motor and fan built into the lid. It made it a little difficult to open using one hand. And, I believe that the constant opening and closing, led to the early demise of the fan and motor.

They're expensive, but look into buying a Yeti ice chest.

    You'll only ever buy ONE.

One bag of ice will last a week or more in the summer... much longer in cooler temps.

    I am NOT exaggerating.

You won't have to worry about buying your next 12v cooler a few years from now , either. No power cords to go bad. No dead batts when you forget to unplug.

These are worth their weight in gold and will pay for themselves in ice savings cost alone in around one year over other "ice chests".
