I make .72 cpm running single, working 8 hours a night.

Hard to make anything sitting at loading docks. Most companies only pay after two hours. Even then it rarely equals what you could make averaging 60mph at 40 cents per mile. Then there is where you run. Does 60 cents a mile sound good stuck in traffic for an hour? Many factors to consider besides miles.

Old Dominion team is what Blair was talking about - $100k-$125k each depending on dedicated or wild/OTR
UPS parcel sleeper team - $100k-$140k each 5 day work week
Certain radioactive waste haulers
solo - $110k-$135k
Team - $120k-$200k each
Lot more to look at then just CPM...& you have to ask yourself what value you bring to the company.
With the options out there, I can't see a reason to put up with anything less then $75k (solo/each) for an easy breezy driving job; hell we as a team put in less miles then a well ran solo most weeks & enjoy our company paid hotels, only working 2/3 of the year, consistent paychecks regardless of actual work done, & not ending up 50yr old worn out, hunched over, diabetes afflicted truck drivers after running those CPM jobs hard for 30+yrs.
Not settling for low par forces the bar higher for the entire industry, especially in a driver market.
Its all about specializing the trade & increasing your value as an asset to the market, (owner op) or employer. (company driver)jon69 and Trucking in Tennessee Thank this.
