Crazy!!!

Credit where credit is due. At least the ####### who caused this stopped. That said big yikes. This one sent a shiver up my spine after my run in with amazon and how close i came to having more or less that happen to me.

 

Right at 4 seconds you can see the yellow flash on the end of a guard rail. At 12 seconds you can see the oncoming truck smokeing his brakes trying to stop, And at 14 seconds when the fireball happens you can see the guard rail in the other lane light up for a moment. To me it looks like the oncoming truck tried to swerve to the right out of the way since the wrecked rig was going directly down the inside lane before it lost control into him. The oncoming truck had exactly 1 second to respond.

Absolutely nothing the oncoming truck coulda done diffrent save not be there.

 

Good lord. The guy severely over corrected trying to avoid a bump with the driver changing lanes without looking in his mirrors. If the guy moves to the left part of his his lane and hits the air horn there’s probably no accident.

 

Medical emergency? How can one go the wrong way for so long and not try and stop? I swear, this site is turning into the great screwups of our society, and I want to give credit to those who are still out there and face this everyday. With a list of these catastrophies on the right, one might get the impression our roads are nothing more than demo derbies. Well, I'm here to say, it just isn't so. On a recent 3,000 mile trip cross country, I didn't see ONE mishap involving a truck, NOT ONE! Fact is, I was impressed by our truck drivers, and don't kid yourself, this stuff went on when we were trucking, to a lesser extent, maybe, but it's a camera everywhere that brings these isolated incidents to our kitchen table, and while it may be entertaining, quite frankly, I'm sick of it and wish TTR wouldn't allow these videos anymore. Makes us all look bad.
