I first went to Crst in December of 2016 and I posted on here that I was going to get my foot in the door with them. In March of 2017 I finally got my cdl with them after getting there and finding out the documentation they asked me to bring wasn't all I would need. And nearly getting sent home because an accident I told them about before I got there. The whole time I was told once I got my cdl I had 30 days to get it switched over to my home state. I got my cdl on March 15th and started with a trainer on the 20th. So my cdl was supposed to be good until April 14th. I was on the truck with my trainer on the 6th when I got a call saying that my cdl was cancelled on the 2nd and I had been driving for 4 days with my cdl being "disqualified" so I told my dm and I was instructed to drive home and get it switched. Once I told them I didn't have an address to switch it over to they told me they would work something out for me to keep my cdl. I drove home once I called the Iowa dot to get it reinstated and once I got home I got off the truck and haven't went back. They have called several times and took my last check to pay for truck abandonment even though I didn't abandon it. I told them I was leaving as well as my trainer. They have yet to give me my last check, which I expected. But my advice is do NOT get your cdl with Crst because the address they let you use to get your cdl is illegal. They only let you use it because they have a contract with the state of Iowa. And if by some chance you do go there please be sure you have an address that you can switch it over to because if you don't then you will go through all of it and have nothing to show for it after 30 days. But I strongly advise you to NOT GO THERE.

You're a brave lass for posting this since approximately fifty people, including me, are going to say "told you so". Sorry to hear about your luck though. Are you still pursuing a career in trucking in any capacity?
TaterFox, Toomanybikes and sassy_southern_trucker Thank this. -
Hate to say "I told ya so" but, You're not going to get your last check, the way I understand it is they had you sign a contract and they will hold you to it, you will pay for that training regardless of whether you got your CDL or not. I may be wrong but you don't have to look long on here to find horror stories about CRST.

They were going to keep your money to offset schooling costs. But I find it funny they said it was for truck abandonment while you were with a trainer.
CRST, what a laughable outfit.Lonesome and sassy_southern_trucker Thank this. -
You can take the CDL back to Ga and switch it over.

This is beyond true. I have my cdl and I'm okay with paying what I owe since I did use those services. It's just a warning to those out there like I was that want to only see the best lol. You are right though, nothing good about Crst. It's all lies and scams.Toomanybikes, p608 and Lonesome Thank this.

I got it switched but I left the company. They are liars and working for them is terrible. I got one load a week with my trainer and sat for three or more days a week. It's not a good company at all. @p608 was right they are nothing but a big book of horror stories.

They kept my whole check and I didn't expect to get it but my deductions column on my check stub said that it was for abandonment. Also, they tried to get me to drive even after they found out my license was no good. Which is stupid because that's illegal.
