I’m about to travel north to NWT for work on the ice roads. That being said, they require all trucks to have the cruise control parameters changed, so that cruise will work at 25kph/15mph while travelling over ice. Simple enough right? After speaking with Cummins Service, I learned that 25mph is the lowest cruise control speed available. My question is... has anyone had to lower their cruise control parameters for bush or ice road operation and is 25kph possible somehow? I’ve got a CM871 ISX in an International 9900 if that helps.
It can't be done with Cummins Insite, but can be done with Calterm. Not many Cummins shops have techs that know how to use it.
