I'm looking at buying a 09 pete with a Cummins ISX. I'm trying to figure out what the HP and Tq can be turned up to. I have the engine serial number but don't know where to look up the information at

Its on the driver side of the valve cover,And with that 09 you are asking for trouble with the emissions. I had an 09 t2000 and spent about $12000 on it in a month and a half from the emissions until i sold it.

I have the number. Just don't know who/where to look up specs. Plan on cleaning emissions when I buy it. Truck has to be within 10 yrs where I'm going with it so I'm stuck with emissions

You'd be better off getting a little newer truck with SCR. SCR engine run less EGR and have less EGR and regen problems. As far as uprating it, call a Cummins dealer with your ESN and they'll tell you. Or post your CPL # and maybe someone here has access to tell you.

If you can afford it go with something newer than a 2012 because any of them between 2008 and 2012 had nothing but problems.

The 2015+ Cummins ISX15 CM2350 is the most improved version.

Like other Posters stated, stay away from the earlier ISX15 motors, they have alot of problems.

here's a site that was given to me. you need the info off your data plate on the engine. I took 3 pics of mine and it was a big help. Once you enter your info it gives you ALL the info about your engine.
