What do you do if you pull in a shipper or receiver and cannot fit into the dock? Are you SOL or do you open your wallet hoping someone will help you? What type of fuel mileage are you getting? I don't ever see them parked at truck stops not that you would need to but where do you generally park to sleep? Nice truck BTW...

I have yet to pull into a shipper that I can't get into. It's kinda their problem also if this was to happen. Though I don't play around New York City either. I do play alot in Chicago. I've never paid anyone to put my trailer in. Most couldn't since I run calif. hook up enstead of the standard glad hands.
Fuel economy is not effected by the larger sleeper, possibly helps since I'm not as high. My truck is only 12' tall like a mid roof tractor.
Most large sleeper trucks park at the shippers and receivers and walmarts because we don't need showers, restroom or restraunt since we are totally self contained. Also much quieter parking by ourselves. When you see us parked at the truckstops, it's usually because laid over.TruckDuo and HalpinUout Thank this. -
Are there any company driver gigs with these sleepers?

To Richieryan,
Frock Bros trucking in PA runs 86" studio sleepers and I was told they also have some company custom sleeper trucks. They run refer freight. Google them, they do have a web site.richieryan Thanks this. -

Ironically a lot of expediting straight trucks have 96 - 101 custom sleepers as well (http://expeditetrucksales.com/inventory/show.php?id=1046).richieryan Thanks this. -
Thank for the tips!

I beleive part of the reason you don't see a lot of big sleepers pulling dry vans is because of the overall lenght restrictions which applys to pulling trailers over 48' and most dry vans are 53'
But it sure changes life on the road. Almost like full time camping. -
Camping..... as opposed to backpacking?

I'm looking at buying a W900 with an older 144" ICT and if I do plan to pull it off and sell it...
It's a Sundowner model, factory installed in 1997. It's got a roof a/c and satellite dome. It's very clean outside, white in color. No rear door and pretty basic inside - not even a stove. Just a fridge, microwave, tv, bathroom. Any ideas on what it's worth? I'm thinking $9000 to $10,000 range?
