Hey, this is just pure info if anybody's been trying to figure it out, cuz i was for a long time till a mechanic buddy of mine figured it out. Western Star's are built to make the 4-ways freeze when you hit the brakes, and it makes me so mad. Ok, yeah I know, you're going to say all the reasons it shouldn't, but I'm in commercial spaces like chicken plants etc, and people are walking around and equip is flying by and stuff, and we keep our 4-ways on for the idiots, just in case something happens we can say we had our 4-ways on. But if I'm braking, the 4-ways stop. OR, on the highway, I've been going down a hill, and suddenly round a corner and there's traffic stopped. I want to hit the brakes quite promptly to say the least, AND have my 4-ways blinking at the same time so I don't get mashed in the rear. Anyway, if you want that to stop, go take the bottom cover of the turn signal off, and there's a little red jumper wire. really short, it's pretty obvious. Snip it, and you're good to go. 4-ways blink, and keep blinking when you hit the brakes.
