I posted this in 'ask an owner operator'. It wasn't the best place for my question. Where can I buy/get a complete CVSA handbook at a reasonable price? The CVSA site has one for $30 and J.J.Kellar has a book for $8.99. I want the full and complete specs so that I can maybe do securing the right way. I do not want to download something to my phone at this point in time.

I think most of us carry the JJ Keller version. Nicknamed the little green bible.
The Driver Securement handbook is good to have also.johndeere4020 Thanks this. -
I think there is mixing of apples, kumquats and walnuts in here.
The CVSA handbook is for out of service criteria. The "green bible" is all of the FMCSA regulations, which includes Part 393 Subpart I—Protection Against Shifting and Falling Cargo. I assume you mean you are looking for the FMCSA Cargo Securement handbook. Looks like this...

You might be able to order it from JJ Keller, pick it up in a truck stop, but your best bet might be to download it (from here - PDF file) and then have it printed at Staples or Office Depot or similar.
Note the date of the handbook and be aware that there will have been revisions to the regulations since it was printed.bigguns Thanks this. -
You can buy one in any TA for about $10. I saw them in the store back at the repair shop.

I haven't seen them in the truckstops but the manual listed in here was printed and bound at staples by another driver for pretty cheap. I wanna say about 10 bucks.

That is exactly what I am talking about: apples, kumquats, and walnuts. The fmsca has 'drivers handbook on cargo securement'. You can also go to cvsa.org, then store, then scroll thru and find 'Practical cargo securement' handbook. Then we have a J.J.Kellar book. At the store for cvsa.org you can buy all sorts of handbooks and other 'stuff'. I would just like to know which of all the choices has the most accurate info. Heaven forbid the fmcsa and cvsa use the same book.
