I've recently applied to several companies and was able to get a copy of my DAC report, it's blank, no records found. I knew there wouldn't be any bad stuff, since I'm accident/ticket/incident/abandonment free, but I thought there would be some record of me working at the 3 companies I drove for. TMC 2.5 yrs, Britton Transport 1 yr, Landstar 5.5 yrs.

    Is that normal?

Two of those have their own internal system for past employment.

So the DAC report is for negative issues only?

DAC isn't as widespread as some think.

There are a number of competing systems, some in-house, and there is TenStreet...the black hole of data collection.

DAC was great back when getting a driver's abstract was a complex project.

The tried to be the be all, end all and truckers being truckers, it didn't work out that way.

The only way you get into DAC is if a DAC customer submits a termination report when you leave.

Each report was $2,50 off the bill back when I was terminating around 165 drivers a year.

    Don't fire me!
AH thanks, I obviously had a huge misunderstanding of what it is for.

That $2.50 per termination report wasn't much as we were doing 4 or 5 abstracts requests daily; it was a lot of churn and a lot of chum to sort out

    MattaCracker Thanks this.

No, The Hire Right, Driver A Check, is only available to companies that subscribe to the Hire Right service. Some companies use Driver IQ, or maintain an internal database.. So if your previous companies don't subscribe and pay Hire Right or Driver IQ a fee then your work history will be blank in the databases as they don't do business with your previous companies. But you will be able to view your PSP, Criminal and MVR records as those reports are maintained by the government so they will show up in your reports when they run your name..hope that makes sense.. these companies are just consumer reporting agencies that charge trucking companies a fee to use..
