Cascadia are famous for electrical issues. Our truck was working fine till stopped for fuel. Flashers wouldn't work, dome lites wouldn't shut off, dash lights dim and uncontrollable. We parked, shut the engine off. Waiting on hold with breakdown,,suddenly dome lites go off flashers start working ,everything normal. If you have a master battery shut off,,,turn it off for a few min let everything reboot..did it 3 times over a month then didn't quit again...dealer couldn't find anything...good luck

Cascadia are also famous for lea king around the windshield and clearance lights letting water in behind the dash and into the electrical system so if you find your problem and fix it you also need to find your leak and fix it to keep it from happening again

We have a 2005 Western Star tri axle dump truck that had the same problem. The wind shield or clearance lights leak in to the dash. We thought it was the ECU as well. We had the wiring harness replaced last week and every thing works great now, except for finding out where it leaks.
Also similar problem with our 2005 Mack tri axle dump truck. It turned out the fuses under the hood were getting corroded from water splashing up and getting in. Cleaned up the corrosion, reinstalled the fuses and made a make shift cover (additional) out of an old inner tube, no problems in the last 2 years.

its not ECU its a Sam CAB. Check right bottom corner of windshield. you must have leak there. )))) The water probably went into sam cab and its burned already. Only freightliner dealer can help you . get ready to pay $1500-1700...

When the water leak happened on my old 2009 I had same issues and the horn stuck on... Had the replace a couple computers and fuse box ... Freightliners fix was a windshield gasket with a extra hump on it ... We got windshield guy to reseal the fix which still leaked ... Be careful if you sleep in truck some have burnt down due to wiring fire

I have replaced the seal. its still leaking. the electric horn( and washer motor) was on until horn got burned. Washer motor's circuit is logic controlled and its burned too. no way to stop the leak and now I am thinking to make some rain gather inside of the cab up to fuse box..)))) just wondering who was the designer ..)))
