I know what you are saying.
It can get bad, but take it all in stride because at the end of the day, you're still alive and can look forward to the new day.
Sometimes you have to vent, I have some drivers who will call me up in the middle of the day, totally yell and scream about a problem, then thank me for listening and goes on with their day.
I was at a pilot the other day fueling my pickup (yes I used the truck pumps - instructed by the girl behind the counter) and there was a newbie who was complaining about me using the pumps, there wasn't a truck in sight of the pumps. BUT then he went into a five minute description of his day, how his boss screwed him over by forcing him to take a load instead of allowing him time to game, yadda yadda yadda.
After I was done filling my auxiliary tank, I told him just wait until you have a real bad day, then he can complain. I told him there are days that I wish I had his problems and walked into the place to get my receipt. He was still standing at the pumps when I came out and I just waved, smiled and left. -
Did a favor for my dispatchers friend.
So I just finished loading my trailer FULL of store fixtures. Im sweating like a dog and only made $588 it took from 0900 to 1700.
I'm in the medical/electronics division. I dont do furniture and fixtures. I do servers, and cat scans. When will i learn no good deed goes UNPUNISHED! -
My husband called to tell me that he was lectured by a soccer mom in a new Suburban on why big rigs should be banned from the Interstate because they are not safe for other drivers. Too big to be safely passed or something. He just nodded, smiled and walked away. Then watched her back over a curb trying to leave the Loves.
