You have to get an EIN. You choose what you want your EIN to be as, yourself or a company.
-
I think they're requiring everyone to register their EIN under their own personal name now, or at least that's what I was told to do. The instructions said to use ONLY my personal name. You can put a DBA if you want though.
-
I've had my EIN for years now i was wondering because the paperwork i was emailed asked for company name as well as personal name. when i asked recruiter she said she believed they paid with both names on the direct deposit. I just wanted to be sure my banking was correct so as not to have a problem with direct deposit.
-
I think the instructions they sent me were for new EIN's only, if you already have one, they just go with whatever you already have.
TennMan Thanks this. -
Some states require you to have a company EIN, NY for instance, I have to change mine when I move there.

Captain how's it going for you? Any chance you got those Signs on yet? Schneider don't have a policy against putting them on your truck.....LOL
-
Not yet, trying to get the hell out of Florida right now LOL. Been watching the board since 8am EST, nothing even coming out of here today. Trying to decide if I should sit until tomorrow and grab something, or just deadhead up to the Atlanta OC today and get my 30,000 mile PM done and then get something out of there.
No, Schneider doesn't have a policy against putting them on the truck, however FastSigns has a strict policy about not putting them on the truck until you pay for it first.

Fast signs where are they located. is that who's doing yours? What part of Florida?
-
FastSigns is a national graphic design chain, they service some major companies out there and have a good reputation. The one I'm using is in northern Fort Worth. They quoted me $225 and some change for both doors and the "LEASED TO" text to go above the stuff Schneider has on there already. A DOT officer told me to MAKE SURE I have the words "LEASED TO" on the truck if I put another company name on it.
I'm in Orlando right now, one of the travel plazas on the turnpike.
