Hey there, I'm having a similar problem on my 2011 Freightliner Cascadia. Is there a way to clean the doser injector yourself or do you have to bring it the shop?
I guess it all depends on how good of a mechanic you are. I just had mine done at Freightliner in Tyler TX last week.....$550 to have it removed and cleaned.......$750 if they had put a new valve in. But it's really not something you can put off for very long........in my case, about 2 weeks before it finally shut down on me. Fortunately, I was able to get 1 more regen out of it and that was enough to get me to Tyler.
Funny how prices can vary from dealers throughout the country. Vegs wants $1700 for clean the dpf. They don't have the machine because it's not worth it for them to have it. Costs too much. So they send it out to a local shop for cleaning. Drive up to Salt Lake and the dealer has the machine and charges $750. Dpf's have been out almost 10 years now. That's propably a machine that every dealer should have by now.
WW Wiliams in Atlanta wouldn't clean mine either. And although I could have taken it to Peterbuilt to have it cooked, WW Williams said if I did, they wouldn't reset the computer. So I had to buy new........$3,000
