It did not run so good so ended up putting in a different engine. I pulled the head to save and whatever else I can think is worth having around. The no. 6 rod broke but I think the crank might be still good. spins over like a dream. In the one picture I have of the cylinders I thought the pattern on top was weird but maybe that is the injector spray pattern. The number 6 failed one has no marks. I have not pulled a diesel apart before. Just thought I would share the hurt someone had. I bought the truck with this engine. Poor guy just got it going and this happened. This engine had 1.27000 km on it when it failed. He had just had it deleted and the turbo changed. Now I am driving it and its a pretty nice truck.

I need to get some stronger 12 point sockets to get the flywheel and crankshaft out. The crank might worth something as well. Not much fun finding a place to store all this stuff but interesting taking it apart.

Just get you a plate and a little JB weld and put it back in business.

Looks like a couple injectors might be plugging up, spray pattern in the bowls looks a bit wonky on a couple pistons.

Something was definitely wonky with injectors or programming for the delete caused insane cylinder pressure . I bet it pulled hard right up to the weakest part letting go .
