I do not make a nickel on my dh miles and I dh home more often then I don't.

    I'm not getting robbed.

People on this site need to get away from the mega company mentality. But I guess when so many won't put in enough effort to get away from them they get what they deserve.

I deadhead for free, but I work for percentage so it's a whole different ball game for me. I choose to not worry about my deadhead miles and focus instead upon the weekly, quarterly, and yearly gross income. Saves me stress that way.

I'm paid on percentage as well, with the responsibility to maximize revenue. If that means deadheading to get back to high revenue freight instead of wasting time on a low revenue load, then I make the choice.

When I was paid by the mile I was paid for all dispatched miles: loaded, bobtail, or deadhead.

if youre deadheading home I can see not getting paid the miles which I basically said in my other post, but what if you dh 100 miles to your next load from where you unloaded, dont you think drivers should get paid for those miles?

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

My next load is at home. I often times dh several hundred miles.
I'm not picking at you but the blanket statements that get thrown around on this site drive me crazy.

    Oldironfan and kwswan Thank this.

I don't find your posts so stupid so settle down. And I'm not gimmi you that I was picking on you. I wasn't.
I'm simply pointing out that not all drivers are getting screwed by not getting paid dh miles.

There are no insults in my post. I just have an opposing view that is correct. It's OK to learn something and not be correct.

I simply offered an opposing view.
