I guess the most important question here (especially seeing as you mentioned the words alberta and pto)..... What are you hauling? To me it looks like your specing a heavy spec truck for the patch maybe? In which case there's no way you wanna listen to the aero advice. But if it's for highway then he is right on the money, aero would make more money. We need more info.
decisions decisions ??

Given the spec on those trucks, I'm guessing you're not hauling a box. I'd go for the Star, despite having a soft spot for a nice T800. 2007 Detroit was a pretty uneventful year, reliable motor, and no emissions equipment aside from EGR. 2008 Cat and Cummins are likely to have a DPF of some sort, and the early systems for both were far from trouble free.
But, I'm typing this in my 2004 Western Star with a Detroit, so I could be biasedCetane+ and bubbahotep Thank this. -
I will be pulling LCV, turnpike doubles and dont mind overspecing just to be safe. No oilpatch, just highway

Hey, I was (almost) right... Not one box but two. Looking to do something similar myself, but I'm looking for trailers and a tandem convertor dolly.
bubbahotep Thanks this. -
