    Hey all.
Just curious what was your record time for crossing over at ambassador bridge. Got nothing better to do sitting in line waiting for xray to be done. About half an hour per truck during day time with slightly faster at night. Mine was set back when they first invented an ace manifest program due to dispatcher being not very bright working on loads of bulk potatoes. So total of 21 hours in a week per 3 times crossing. Say 2006 or so right? For the ace to kick in. Not much improvement since. Pretty sure there was many complains on border wait time even if your paperwork been done correctly still it take way too much time for everything compare to other places. They claim it due to being the busiest border crossing but you seen with your own eyes how it's been done and sadly nothing is changing.

I've only come back to Canada from the US, but fastest time was 3 minutes. Barely had time to get it to record on the elog. No lineup, pulled up to the window, no questions, got a stamp and "have a nice day!".

Longest has been 1.25 hours (?).

In my day we aint have none of that.

In the time it takes to get across that Ambassador, stop at the Canadian Window, answer a couple questions go to Winsdor Customs 2 miles or so in town on the right, walk back and load up on food items not availible in the USA and roll on with the stamped release broker papers.

Everything takes a few moments at that bridge. Not much more than that at Winsdor Customs. (Disclaimer this was before 9-11)

What with the exchange rate in my favor etc Ontario has been pretty good to be in. The real battle is on the Queens Expressway by Toronto when it's to get out.

Ambassador bridge is hit or miss. I remember I went 2:30AM in the morning and went straight to the booth. Usually after 4 is busy for some reason... Never been xrayed at Detroit in over 25 crossings. Port Huron however... Every single person at night is getting that xray.

Well a Fast card helps quite a bit and my fastest time is about 15 seconds and lately the longest time waiting for the ACE to be accepted been about 3hrs. I have more problems getting back into Canada than the States. Oh it sure beats the Manifest lines of 20 to 25yrs ago. But I feel for you having to wait in a long x-ray line.

I can't be the only one here that Hope's that rust bucket of a bridge falls in the water one day eh?

I hate that crossing with a passion. It's too old, and horrible laid out for anything. Like how Meat inspection is in a completely different location nowhere near the border crossing.
