Regardless of what other drivers do you should always stop at a stop sign. Especially if you have a trainer sitting next to you.

i understand people make mistakes..buuuut...I have a friend that works on trucks. He has 20k worth of snap on tools and can talk the talk..but in the end he will fudge your car up due to his carelessness. which is a part of who he is. Wanting to do something and having the ability to do it are two different things , especially at a professional level. If you keep messin $#!t up maybe you should move on to something else...not everything is for everybody...and no I'm not a vet but I never had an accident when I drove..and I drove NE USA , NY NJ PA CT MA NH ME DE VA MD DC ETC. so maybe I should continue driving...if u can't get right then you can't get right.have you ever heard the expression.."there ain't no helpin that boy" ..they might be talking about you and your trucking career..all im really saying is be happy you have a job..

He said , HIMSELF , the reason for him not being able to get a job wsan't the fact he bumped mirrors with someone...or even running a stop sing ( his words)...he just admitted that the reason ( in his post #61) was the fact he has a "termination" on his employment record. In my response to his initial post I said the exact same thing.......Then he thought I was being hard , and angry....

Here it is the direct quote from post # 2 on this thread.....

Explain the reasons for your termination in the most honest and up-front way possible....the incident (slapping mirrors ) does not seem to be an offense that a company would terminate a driver for though...did you leave and not tell any one and later get caught , or did you report the incident to them right away...seems there may be more to your story. But yes when a company puts terminated on your record..that will close many doors to you.

He was dismissed for a reason . And that reason was his driving.

Driver, My one and only wish is to help you. If that crack "Mr. Perfect" was for me, I am miles from that. I jumped out every two feet when I was learning. I didn't hit anything. Turn your C.B. off when backing in or leaving or whatever.

Ahem : Don't try this in a Cab Over. When you are good enough to back in when opening the door, Standing on the step, then stopping just in time. You will be a Truck Driver.

See that part of the trailer? Make sure you always see it. There is 50 some feet you can't see. You give up, they win. Farm driving may be a start for your job.

My first million times I thought I could drive a truck worried me. The second Million when It got loose on me, but I somehow recovered woke me up. We have an agreement, I don't push Her past Her limits, She Don't Kill Me.
