    Anybody know how dm s get paid? My dm is on salary, but how there gat there bonuses, there got any percent if there save on your back.
    Like there should pay 8 hours shop time but there paying me 5 hours. thx

    As many mid and large size companies there are, there are that many pay/bonus models out there. Yes, the cost/revenue ratio is often a a component of a bonus system causing them to "forget" and "minimize" some costs [to them] that would have been add'l income for you. Those are some of the closest held secrets of carriers and good luck finding out how your particular dm gets bonused but you can be sure keeping driver costs at a minimum is probably a component of the system.

    I was a dispatcher for awhile, and I can tell you that no there were no bonuses. At least with my company. Just barely enough income to live off of. The pressure comes from above, because the higher ups are looking at how much the trucks under you are bringing in per mile. My responsibility was finding freight, booking it, and then dispatching the drivers.
    Only took a few months to go insane and go broke so I went back in a truck.
