Do you think self-insured companies have that different of a requirement?
-
I didn’t say anything about company requirements, just that companies that don’t self insure may have outside factors dictating their requirements.
And yes, I’m fairly sure megas that don’t have to buy insurance on the open market probably have different hiring criteria than most smaller carriers. -
Swift is self-insured, but I would bet they have stricter requirements for hiring than many smaller companies that are not self-insured.

They are a training company and hire fresh students, how is that strict? I couldn’t take a driver right out of school and put them in my truck. Great West wouldn’t insure them to herd this truck down the road. I’m not even sure what is required to be a driver where I’m leased on, but they for sure don’t take students.
LameMule Thanks this.
