When I go to truck driving school in the next couple of years and I graduate, I'd like to work for coca cola as a delivery driver either pulling loads with a pallet jack and stocking shelves or unloading and stocking shelves from a bay delivery trailer using convertible hand trucks... do they use international or freightliner trucks?
Does coca cola provide training for delivery driver positions?

Depends on your location. I have seen a variety of trucks. The one I worked at had International, Chevy, Ford, GMC. They bought trucks in large number, and purchased from whomever had best deals. And FYI, the one that I worked at promoted and trained internally. They trained their own drivers, didn't need truck driving school. And again, it depends on where you live. They are independent operated, like a McDonalds franchise.

As said above it will depend on the location. A friend of mine worked for the local Coke distributor as a merchandiser for a few years and they put him thru a training program to make him a class A driver. They even paid him his hourly rate whike being taught how to drive

If your heart is set to do this I’d try Pepsi over coke cause the company benefits and pay from what I heard are better.

They might use Toyota's.

Both pepsi and coke have for the most part gone to liftgate trailers. It’s not easy work and you need to hustle.Mike2633 Thanks this.

What are the sizes of the trailers they have as far as length? How much weight is on a pallet? Do they use hand trucks or pallet jacks?

How many cases would be in a trailer? Do you stock shelves or just place the cases in the back?Last edited: Oct 5, 2020

The amount of cases depended on what kind of product it is.. as I mentioned above max is roughly 40cs of cans. Whatever doesn’t go on the shelf goes in the back.McUzi Thanks this.
