Does my ein change?

    I got mine when I started a business 30 years ago.
    When I leased on to Schneider, they said I needed an EIN.
    Called the tax people and they said you already have one and its this.......

    Simple answer to your question, no.

    Your old EIN may still be good. You have the option to use the one you already have, or you could make a new one if you intend to become a double manager, meaning to have two companies. If, on the other hand, you no longer have the old truck, you should remove it from the records so that you no longer pay taxes or are not sanctioned by the IRS. If you are unsure of your decision, you can apply for an ein number and discuss your problem with a specialist at the headquarters. Your case certainly has a simple solution.
