Does this actually happen?

1. Right to work. No reason needed or required as long as you're not excluded for being part of a protected group.
2. With all of the thousands of posts about all of the POS companies to choose from, why would any driver trust a company who only offers bus transportation? (There are ones who will fly you out or rent you a car.)
3. Nobody owes you a job. You're not hired until they hand you the keys to a tractor.
4. Get it in writing! However, your only recourse is small claims court, state Labor Boards can't help if you were never an employee.
5. Most of all CAVEAT EMPTOR!

 

That's easy. Just make up a BS story about your past history. It's not like they are going to find out... oh wait, they can.

 

Well we've seen that many times here. People get in bad situations & throw caution to the wind. IMO most people are not suited for a decent OTR company, let alone a really bad one.

 

Well if you had of included ringing the bell i would of almost thought it was identical to Navy Seal Training.

 

Limo service to an airport where she would be escorted for private screening & presented with a gift bag before boarding a private plane to the destination of her choosing. upon her arrival she would be met by a life coach to lesson the stigma of her rejection & improve her future employability.

 

It was explained to me at USX that they do everything at Orientation because of No shows.

My first company (KLLM) I had no orientation. They bused me to Sacramento (Woodland) the day before I met my trainer & within 2 hrs of arrival I was in a truck driving to pu my first load. I was totally clueless on everything except my pay per mile. No pee test, No physical or even a company ball cap.
Another Company I quit on for 3 months & came back like I had gone on vacation. I arrived & they are like here is one of are new Volvo 780's, now go make us some more money.

Let your daughter? How controlling are you? You do know that isn't the 1800's? Women actually are no longer chattel, don't you know?

In my case I hope I've taught her to look past appearance to the person inside. Of course I do also hope I've taught her to avoid someone so insecure with themselves that they have make themselves look like that.....
