My 2002 freightliner columbia dome lamps flashes whenever I turn on my hazard or my turn signal. What would cause that.

Reroute the wire to the dome light. It's hooked up to the hazard/signals.

When the dome light is already on? Or does it come on?

That's a Swift team driver warning system, lol. Just kidding.

All them wires run through your headlight switch. You probably have a dead short. They have little tiny copper contacts in them and it's not unusual for one to break off and short between other contacts.

I forget a Columbia. Do you turn the dome on with twisting a headlight switch?

But like with a car, they'll all run through the turn signal switch. They actually call it a multifunction switch. Possibly even through the emergency flasher switch. It's one of the three.
