My 40" breaker bar is usually more than sufficient to get all of the lugs on my tractor...IF I'm the one that put them on. 200#ish me on that bar pretty much puts me right where I need to be torque wise. After NOTHING I had would break loose the trailer lugs for a co-worker on a company trailer with hub piloted wheels (inside tire had blown out in a major way, and we figured we had about an hour while we were unloading our tanks), we ended up using a cut-off wheel to slice through the carcass to remove it. Shortly thereafter, I bought a Nut Buddy...and with 52:1 gear reduction, my 9 month old can break loose even the most stubborn bolts.

No doubt. Best $40 I've ever spent. Well, not literally but pretty close.

I got waved in yesterday in New York on I88W because I have no HUT sticker.

Told the inspector that I'd applied for a sticker with the state, they deposited my $1.50 check, but I had yet to hear anything else from them.

He told me to have a good day.

You're lucky. They're supposed to give you a temporary deal to keep in the cab with you until you get the sticker. He could have been a prick about it.

I think NY is staying low key about it for carriers that aren't based in NY. They got sued over it and lost. Legally, they weren't even supposed to collect the $1.50 that I paid them.

I'm trying to pay the tax. They're trying their hardest to keep me from paying it.

    DSK333 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Indeed. OOIDA handled it. It's a rip off, just like the KYU. Nothing gets me more fired up than IFTA. In fact, what KY and NY are doing wouldn't be so bad if IFTA was scrapped in those states. I also find the end of year filing to be a huge hassle as well.
