    Good evening,
My company uses an F350 dually that has our DOT number on the side. My question is, can a non CDL holder drive that unit as long as there is not a trailer connected making it grater than the 26,001 combined weight?
I should add that I am in Texas

I believe a medical card is still required though.

If driven for commercial use the driver needs to do everything a cdl holder needs, except the cdl of course. And I believe drug testing, but double check that one.

If it's driven for personal use, nothing is required save explaining to an officer, if pulled over, it's personal. You might have luck on that, you might not.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

The feds forced the states to use the us dot registration numbers on commercial vehicles of all type about 15 years ago.
