I'm not saying you shouldn't maintain your composure and act professionally while in the scale house dealing with the officer....just that after the fact, when the investigation is complete and you are being informed about the disciplinary actions taken against the officer, I'd be more likely to act as though I didn't feel the punishment was severe enough rather than responding as though I felt the punishment was too harsh.

Im with you. We place a tremendous amount of trust in our law enforcement.
When one breaks that trust. It's time to consider serious action.
It does not matter whether the officer was right or wrong. What does matter is, he abused/assaulted a person who would have spent serious time in jail. Had he even tried to defend himself.
The rules "should" apply equally. But sadly they don't. -
I made a complaint in ohio before and the AG's office tried to cover the lie and replied maybe he'd have found the violation anyway.
Myself after the outcome of hearing I would have filed suit and hoped my retirement fund would have increased exponentially -
worst states as if all aren't the worst?
OHIO
INDIANA
MISSISSIPPI

I've never had an issue in MS.
BTW, does Center Point PD still do inspections? The officer there was one of the most laid back I've ever met.
I used to live in Pinson and Moody for a time. -
I guess I had set my sights really low, and all I wanted was for his actions to not be repeated. His "punishment" to me appeared too severe for this one act, which when it was being explained to me I thought that's what it was for. After I thought about it, I think there was more to it, there was something else he did or was doing.

Mississippi? You have got to be kidding! Worst as far as MDOT or the Hwy Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement or both?
Best regards. -
Well, I suffered no loss. Like anyone else it did tick me off somewhat, but like many others I've had worse events in my life.
Best regards -
You're probably correct with that line of thought.
They may have had multiple complaints in the past, without any supporting evidence or witness.
And you got lucky. There was another officer that believed in his job on site.
And this incident put a bow on the package. -
up until about 4 years ago, respect got respect. Those days are over and DOT personal have a different attitude..........
