driver bonds

    just got this email from KTS

    As you have stated in ur earlier message about being burned... We too have been burned by drivers if a driver has a security deposite it is much more likely they will return the equipment and take care of it. It is a lot like a deposit when you rent an apartment.

    Basically since business insurance doesn't cover theft by employees on property that is not owned/rented by the company.

    So it's basically a security deposit. Why don't they just call it that?:biggrin_25524:

    Owner operators put up an escrow/deposit.

    A company driver shouldn't, you'd never see a penny of it returned in most cases.

    If they are talking a security deposit, like with an apt. or similar, no ##### way. Unless they are putting everything in writing as a contract that you can have inspected by YOUR legal counsel.
