1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I'm looking to drive for an owner operator. I have 16 months of experience with dry van and reefer, and an up to date medical card. I can run 2500+ per week. I have a child that im wanting to hit the road with me. I'm willing to take a drug test and I have a clean background.

Where are you located? This will help members of the forum to help you find a job.

    NOTE:
One difficulty that I can see is wanting to hit the road with a child inside the truck with you.

    Two Very Serious Questions:
    1)
Respectfully speaking, having a child inside the truck with you, wouldn't this be unsafe, if not outright dangerous, with all the time pressures, stresses, & dangers that are part of being a truck driver?
    2) Again, respectfully speaking, having a child inside the truck with you may raise both questions & concerns with D.O.T. inspectors & law enforcement personnel, (state highway patrol officers, county sheriffs, & municipal police officers). Is it worth the stress & risk?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
