One Eye boy asks a one legged girl if she wanted to go out on a date.

    She said "Would I"

    He said "Peg Leg"

There was a driver at Bennett, missing a full leg. Nothing from the hip down. He got around with crutches and ran a step deck. Good ol guy

Not if you pay attention to the gauges.

Those drivers go through the waiver process.

We have a driver leased on with the company I'm with without a right arm. Runs an 8 axle. He can chain up quicker than someone that has both.

Throw me on the list. That makes three Deaf. Add two more I know of that ran dumps but not OTR.

The signing your refer to is either American Sign Language which is a seperate language and own syntax etc or a Gallaudet and LeClerc Old English American Sign Language dating to approx 1650's

If the Deaf can hear at all and pass the hearing tests either whisper or audiology they can run a big truck just the same as anyone else can. Keep in mind up until the late 60's and mid 70's deaf were treated as trainables and kept away from oppertunities in life. I come from Maryland where I graduated top of my class in 87, but am one of two I can think of who were the first if not the first to hit the big road in that decade from a formal deaf school in Maryland.

There is one unfortunate problem with use of communciation sign language, gangs shoot on sight thinking you are throwing gang signs. Well this one (Me) would draw and shoot back and that will be that.

Does stupidity count as a disability? See plenty of that lol.

On a serious note, I did also once see a video of a guy with no right arm driving a truck. He had a prosthetic with a hook that attached to the steering wheel. Then he reached over and shifted with his left hand.

There's a guy from my hometown who wrecked his crotch-rocket years ago and lost his left leg. Not only does he still ride and shift with a prosthetic, he also still does professional stunt riding. Pretty cool how people can overcome things when they really put their mind to it.

. .Unfortunately, I have a nephew on disability for anger issues. Took him with in the truck, once, and he was enamored. He finally felt like he "had a pair."
    Sad, eh?
