so, I moved to Texas. After changing my CDL, I received a letter from Texas Department of public safety informing me that my piece we would be suspended for 60 days due to two tickets I received in 2009 and 2010. Apparently because they were within 3 years of each other Texas deemed me to be an unsafe driver. I requested a hearing and went before a judge. It was exhausting. The case was dismissed and my piece we cleared. Innocent until proven guilty, not. You have to prove your innocent. Anyway, in case other drivers are considering moving to Texas, here's the deal. Texas will go back 15 years into your driving record. Any two incidents that are within 3 years of each other can be cause for concern by dept of public safety and could result in a 60 day suspension of your CDL....

Texas must really be tightening up on their licensing. I know I got my CDL issued in Texas, then went home and had it changed back to Delaware.

I don't think they checked very far. I only had one ticket In the three years precessing that but had they went back the full 15, there were a number of tickets.

Hmmm.....Interesting......I was recently stopped in a speed trap in nowhere Texas. ( Have Tx CDL ) LEO had me cold at 10 over . He ran my license and then released me.....said "He's never seen that before" I said "what?" LEO said "one violation" ...I said "no, it's clean" he said " nope, you have a brake light violation in 2007"

So they are tracking a light violation from 8 years ago but DWI losers get to keep a license and keep driving ? Been many cases of 3 and 4 time losers killing and maiming yet again........ slipped through somehow.

Just saying....easy to see a better application of data resources.

And adding to my rant.....When LEO came to the window he asked to see zee papers....ok, np, and he asked if this was my truck ( a pickup ) so I said yeah...and he said not a company truck? and I said no.....wtf? C'mon LEO, you ran the plate when you stopped me, got the return, it has a 5t wheel hitch in the back and a cooler.
Ray Charles could see it's a personal truck.....I have no idea where he was trying to go with that.....heck zee papers say it's mine, wtf?

No way that's legal. A state can't take it upon themselves to reinterpret a charge and disposition from another state that's already closed. Did you ever consult a lawyer during that process?
