Years ago when Swift changed from Volvo as the their primary truck provider back to Freightliner, You would see dozens of trucks a day with windows busted out: With the VLN Volvo you could not lock the door without locking it with the key from the outside, making it impossible to lock you keys in.

With the Cascadia it is very possible to lock your keys in. When Swifies got there new Crashcadias, the first thing they would do is lock their keys in. Driver managers would tell drivers to bust out the window and get the load there. You would see dozens of new Swifty Crashcadias a day with duct taped windows. Many, most, would be drivers windows; leave it to a Swifty to not think this thing through during winter.

After the seasonal surge, all these drivers were fired with a preventable accident on their DAC as well as a report of intentional company vandalism.

Did you hear the one about the Swifty Student driver that saved his Driver Mentor? He left his keys in the Crashcadia and locked the door. He busted driver's widow out to unlock the door and save his mentor.

I was always afraid of this and would keep a spare key in the headache rack or chain box.

It's amazing that Freightliner won't make things work the same way as Volvo did.
I have also seen quite a few of Cascadia drivers locking their keys inside

I may not be a smart man but I've never once managed to lock a set of keys in a vehicle. Key leaves ignition, goes into pocket. In the case of keyless ignition then the fob never leaves my pocket.
