Hello everyone,
i have 2020 t880 kenworth with cummins x15
My engine sucked dust from pipe connected to engine which is cummins part but They did not cover single dollar for repair i paid 41k for full engine rebuild .I had full extended warranty on engine. but their excuse was its maintenance fault.
After getting into this problem i discovered many other are facing this problem. so i was hoping that we should all get together and sue them. i already had conversions with multiple lawyers for more details reply here.
i am from edmonton,Ab.
Thanks.

Hey Jag
I had the same issue and end up paying half amount. I am willing to pitch for law sue . I have few more people who had the same issue as truck was still under warranties. Get back to me at Ravi@gsgranite.ca -
They always say the engine has been dusted. It’s the new normal with Cummins. This is their way of not paying for the repairs on warranty for these ####ty engines.
Magoo1968 Thanks this. -
I was just told my 2019 KW with a Cummins was dusted.

Opening the hood and checking for loose or broken parts should be part of daily and weekly maintenance.

The kenworth dealer I use is up on this. Any one with a Cummins can use hightemp silicone to prevent this.
Went to a dealer that wasn't my regular, they did some work and even wrote on the bill that they did not return the silicone because its not OEM.
Dont go to Peterbilt in south calgary....BigHossVolvo Thanks this. -
I seen a brand new freightliner classic 4 axle daycab truck go down with 10k miles and just a few months old. C15 CAT. It was a lowboy truck for a contractor. They called him said it was fixed he sent his driver after it. A few days later gets full bill in mail. He had an in house account so they never thought twice about letting it leave. He assumed it was warranted and went on with life. It ended up being a pissing match between him and freightliner. A couple clamps on breathers were left loose at factory. CAT only supplied engine they didn’t install of course. Long time goes by and contractor refuses to pay. Court orders him to pay he still refuses……to my knowledge he never did. Never got a credit app turned down elsewhere either. On a brand new unit I think he needed a better dealer.
On a 4 year old truck with non factory warranty I say good luck. The only guarantee in trucking is noneIsafarmboy and Deere hunter Thank this.
