    Have a ten speed Eaton fuller which grinds when I split from 5th to 6th gear. The other gears are very smooth, no grinding. Anybody got any suggestions on what might cause this?

    no could be round air filter at rear back box. clog can slow change enough 2grind real trans shop not dealer best bet

    Man, I would certainly check the splitter box or "Back Box" It sound like it may not operating correctly! I wish you luck.

    Thanx, and that's the first thing I'm going to check on. I only hope that it's only that and nothing more stood and/or expensive.

    I dont know what year make and model you have but you might want to look into the XY shifter that is located on the top of the tranny, we replace these frequently at the dealer. hope this helps
