e log question

Time to go do something else

 

Why? I don't much like it myself, but i surly wouldn't allow something like an elog mandate dictate what i do for a living.

 

One thing I can say and I am not for elogs in any way is that the poor guys stuck on paper logs after this goes in to effect will be targeted relentlessly at road side inspection sites.

 

LOL you just keep believing that, it'll make you feel better about being on them. Better quit driving a hood too, you know that they are all outlaws and targeted more. Really the wannabe driver(dot officer) just wants a better look at a cool truck.

 

It's funny how people that still run paper logs think its something special. If people don't like the HOS then they should work on changing them to whatever they think is good.

For the record I am a 30 year owner operator and never had elogs.
The point is I get pulled all the time in the lanes I run and have my book checked while the elog guys roll on by.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out once this goes in to effect that if your looking to write compliance tickets the smart money would be on the guys running paper not the ones that have the elog sticker on the side of the truck.
Ever see someone get a form and manner citation with elogs?
Now maybe you can understand the point.

 

I am on paper and have no issues. I rarely get pulled in at all.

 

I have been using a fake location app on my rooted phone,checking in Paris, London, Honolulu and other cool places and my friends were getting super jealous, not knowing that I just was traveling from Detroit to See Moines and back ))
Every electronic device can be hacked if somebody puts an effort to it.
