I've owned this truck roughly 3 years now its been overhauled and new clutch last March alls been great!! Altho I'm still having to bury the clutch pedal to the floor to get in gear!! So I get loaded today in Columbus Ohio rolling down 71 in top gear and all of sudden my truck starts reving like I'm out of gear but I'm not! Pop it out throw it back in and it's fine. Well then it's happening left and right in 8th and 7th gear! I've noticed when it happens if I let the rpms come back down or rec it it seems to catch and continue on rolling! All while still in gear. My trans temp seems fine and not a single issue until now any thoughts?

Clutch slipping.
I'm betting no free travel either. It's so far out of adjustment you have no clutch brake and no free travel.
Basically it's pushing the clutch down without your footRideandrepair and City-Boy Thank this. -

So took the truck had clutch adjusted still slipping like craxy they said once it starts slipping the clutch is done!! Facts or shop talk?

Do you have free travel and clutch brake now?
The statement that once it slips it always slips is false, but that doesn't mean you didn't burn it up
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
She goes in to gear no signs of slipping on lower end

Are you sure its the clutch? It may be “neutralizing” through the range solenoid. May be sticking or leaking air causing it to put the trans in neutral like its between ranges.
Rideandrepair Thanks this.
