But you can never be shure where parts come from.
Bearings might be Vietnam, seals from China,............assembled in USA.
    Sold as a USA product.

Best to buy a turbo for your CAT engine from a reputable source, which eBay isn't. That's chinese knockoff junk. If you don't mind the downtime and money to replace it again really soon go for it. Otherwise why not just buy quality parts for your engine? Turbo exchange out of Concord, NC is where I would buy from if I needed one.

If you're looking for a bigger turbo you should get it tuned to match otherwise you're going to run into driveability issues. Also, that POS on eBay doesn't even tell you any specs other than it's HP range (which is pretty much stock btw). Not to mention, it might only be 350 dollars but for only a couple hundred more you can get something reputable and RELIABLE. Think about how much that hook is going to cost and/or the raping that will certainly ensue from the shop that bends you over the barrel because they know you're far from home after that turd craps on your face.

Buy once, cry once. All i will say is if you get that, keep your turbo you have now in the side box. Might not help tho if the compressor side takes a #### and you get chunks in the intake.

I'm not going to save a grand. And risk 20 ... plus tow and down time.

78 / 1.32 Borgwarner ... 1600 bucks from any non greedy dealer. Closer to 1400 if they feel like giving them away. Roll off the trottle to not bark the turbo from compressor stall, which will lead to wear and or snapping a shaft. Reliability, You will get miles of smiles and years of Service.

I am good at learning expensive lessons from stupid decisions. Purchasing a Bully Dog usa consumer spec'd chineseium turbo was risk enough for me. A turbo spec'd to be as cheap as possible is a big no for me. The BD turbo lasted 2 years and it got just a little shaft play, I replaced it at overhaul ... insurance for not learning an expensive lesson ;)

He won't get a turbo for less than a couple of G's for a CAT. That's just how it is with that yellow motor you gotta pay to play. I get that everyone wants to save a buck but to put some garbage from Ebay on a $40,000 engine???

You can get a Borg for around 1600, what I paid for mine a year ago.
